ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास बहुत पुराना नहीं है फिर भी इसके बारे में जानना बहुत रोचक है। ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास दर्शाता है करोड़ों की कमाई!सोशियल मीडिया की दुनिया में तीन शब्द बी-लॉग, वी-लॉग एवं मोटो-व्लॉग B-log, V-log and Moto-Vlog बहुतायत से प्रयुक्त होते हैं।
ब्लॉग शब्द बाइट तथा लॉग से मिलकर बना हुआ है। जब हम किसी टैक्सट् को लिखकर इलेक्ट्रोनिक प्लेटफॉर्म पर डालते हैं तो उसकी लम्बाई को बाइट्स में नापा जाता है। इसे बी-लॉग अथवा ब्लॉग लिखना एवं ब्लॉगिंग करना भी कहा जाता है।
ब्लॉग में कोई भी व्यक्ति अपने विचारों, सूचनाओं एवं तथ्यों को जनसामान्य की जानकारी के लिए शब्दों में लिखता है।
यह एक तरह का लेख है जिसे इलेक्ट्रोनिक सोशियल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स के माध्यम से पाठकों तक पहुंचाया जाता है। ब्लॉग को प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिए इसमें टैक्स्ट के साथ-साथ डायग्राम, फोटो, इमेज, आर्ट-वर्क, ग्राफ एवं टेबल्स आदि का उपयोग किया जाता है।
वी-लॉग अथवा व्लॉग में विचारों, सूचनाओं एवं तथ्यों आदि को वीडियो के रूप में दिखाया जाता है। इस वीडियो में स्क्रीन पर टैक्स्ट, डायग्राम, फोटो, वीडियो क्लिप्स, आर्ट-वर्क, ग्राफ, टेबल्स तथा स्लाइड्स आदि दिखाए जाते हैं तथा बैकग्राउंड में कंटेट पढ़ा जाता है एवं संगीत बजाया जाता है। इसे वैब टेलिविजन भी कहा जाता है।
वी-लॉग में स्क्रीन पर टैक्स्ट, डायग्राम, फोटो, वीडियो क्लिप्स, आर्ट-वर्क, ग्राफ, टेबल्स तथा स्लाइड्स आदि दिखाए जाते हैं तथा बैकग्राउंड में कंटेट पढ़ा जाता है एवं म्यूजिक तथा साउण्ड इफैक्ट्स दिए जाते हैं।
वी-लॉग में स्क्रीन पर टैक्स्ट दिखाने के लिए सामान्यतः पॉवर पॉइंट स्लाइड्स का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
स्लाइड्स को आकर्षक बनाने के लिए एनीमेशन टूल्स का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
वीडियो ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास बहुत पुराना नहीं है फिर भी यह समय के साथ स्थिर कदमों से आगे बढ़ा है।आजकल मोटो-वीलॉग शूट का भी प्रचलन बढ़ रहा है। जब कोई व्यक्ति मोटर साइकिल पर बैठकर वीडियो शूट करता है तो उस वीडियो ब्लॉग को motovlog अर्थात् मोटरसाइकिल वीडियो ब्लॉग कहा जाता है।
दुनिया भर में बहुत सी वैबसाइट कम्पनियां, लेखकों एवं वीडियो-ब्लागर्स को अपने वीडियो चैनल बनाने से लेकर स्वयं की वीडियो ब्लॉगिंग साइट्स चलाने की सुविधा प्रदान करती हैं।
स्मार्ट फोन में डिजिटल कैमरा जुड़ जाने के बाद वीडियो-लॉगर्स को यह सुविधा भी मिलने लगी है कि वे अपने मोबाइल फोन से वीडियो को सीधे ही अपने चैनल या वीडियो एकाउंट पर अपलोड कर दें।
वीडियो-लॉग का सामान्यतः यूट्यब चैनल के माध्यम से प्रदर्शन किया जाता है। संसार भर में वी-लॉगिंग ने यूट्यूब चैनल के माध्यम से टेलिविजन की दुनिया को बहुत बड़ी चुनौती दी है।
छोटे-छोटे गांव, गली, शहर तथा मुहल्लों में रहने वाले वी-लॉगर्स ने बड़े-बड़े पत्रकारों और फिल्मकारों के छक्के छुड़ा दिए हैं।
वीडियो लोगिंग का इतिहास भी बहुत रोचक है। बी-लॉग, वी-लॉग एवं मोटो-व्लॉग लेखन का कार्य अपेक्षाकृत तेज गति से एवं स्थिरता के साथ बढ़ा। जब से ये प्रचलन में आए हैं। इनकी मांग अथवा प्रचलन कभी नहीं घटा।
न्यूयॉर्क के एक कलाकार सुलिवन ने 1980 के दशक में न्यूयॉर्क सिटी एवं साउथ कैरोलीना के आसपास के दृश्यों को अपने वीडियो कैमरे से शूट करके वी-लॉगिंग की तरफ लोगों का ध्यान खींचा।
जनवरी 2000 में वी-लॉगिंग में एक नया मोड़ तब आया जब एडम कोन्ट्रास नामक एक युवक ने लॉस एंजिलिस तक के लिए अपनी क्रॉस कंट्री के दृश्यों को एक ब्लॉग एण्ट्री के साथ पोस्ट किया। उसने यह वीडियो अपने मित्रों के लिए बनाई थी। यह संसार की सबसे लम्बी पोस्ट थी जो बाद में सर्वाधिक रनिंग वीडियो का रिकॉर्ड बनाने में सफल हुई।
नवम्बर 2000 में एड्रियन माइल्स ने एक वीडियो पोस्ट किया। इसमें एक स्थिर चित्र के ऊपर बार-बार बदलने वाला टैक्स्ट मैसेज था। उसने विश्व में पहली बार अपनी इस कला को वी-लॉगिंग का नाम दिया। वास्तव में यह वीडियो-ब्लॉग का लघु नाम था।
वर्ष 2002 में एक फिल्म निर्माता लुक बॉवमैन ने ट्रॉप्सिम्स डॉट ओआरजी के नाम से एक वीडियो डायरी आरम्भ की जिसमें उसने अपनी यात्राओं के वीडियो दिखाए। इसे संसार की पहली वी-लॉग और वीडियो लॉग साइट कहलाने का सौभाग्य मिला।
वर्ष 2004 में स्टीव गारफील्ड नामक एक युवक ने अपना स्वयं का वीडियो ब्लॉग लाँच किया तथा वर्ष 2004 को उसने ईयर ऑफ वीडियो ब्लॉग घोषित किया। इसके बाद का ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास दर्शाता है करोड़ों की कमाई!
वर्ष 2005 में वी-लॉगिंग को पूरी दुनिया में लोकप्रियता प्राप्त होने लगी। उसी वर्ष याहू नामक वैबसाइट कम्पनी ने देखा कि उसके वीडियो ब्लॉगिंग समूह में अचानक ही सदस्यों की संख्या नाटकीय ढंग से बढ़ गई है।
फरवरी 2005 में पहली बार वीडियो शेयरिंग साइट यूट्यूब को लाँच किया गया जो आज संसार की सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय वीडियो साइट है।
लाँच होने की केवल डेढ़ साल की अवधि में अर्थात् जुलाई 2006 में यूट्यूब संसार की पांचवी सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय वैब डेस्टीनेशन बन गया। इस प्लेटफॉर्म पर प्रतिदिन 65 हजार नए वीडियो अपलोड किए जाने लगे एवं दुनिया भर में प्रतिदिन लगभग 100 मिलियन वीडियो देखे जाने लगे।
रूस के भूतपूर्व राष्ट्रपति दिमित्री मेदवेदेव्ज ने नवम्बर 2008 में लेटिन अमरीका की यात्रा की तथा इस यात्रा का एक वीडियो ब्लॉग पोस्ट किया।
चार्ल्स ट्रिप्सी नामक एक वीडियो-ब्लॉगर ने एक यूट्यूब चैनल बनाया जिसका नाम Internet Killed Television था। इस यूट्यूब चैनल का नाम गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में दर्ज है। ट्रिप्सी प्रतिदिन कम से कम एक वीडियो-लॉग पोस्ट करता है तथा 3000 से अधिक वीडियो पोस्ट करके वह दुनिया में ऐसा करने वाला पहला व्यक्ति बन गया।
वर्ष 2010 में यूट्यूब ने लॉस एंजिलिस में विडकॉन नाम से एक सम्मेलन आयोजित किया जिसमें दुनिया भर के वी-लॉगर्स ने हिस्सा लिया। इस सम्मेलन से यह स्पष्ट हो गया कि वी-लॉगिंग, टेलिविजन तथा सिनेमा साहित दुनिया भर के मीडिया के लिए सबसे बड़ी चुनौती बन गया है।
यदि हम वीडियो ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास देखें तो हमें जानकारी होगी कि किस प्रकार यूट्यूब से प्रेरित होकर इंस्टाग्राम तथा फेसबुक जैसी वैबसाइट्स को भी अपने उपयोगकर्ताओं को वीडियो अपलोड करने एवं लाइव ब्रॉडकास्टिंग करने की सुविधा देनी पड़ी। आज यूट्यूब इण्टरनेट की दुनिया में सर्वाधिक देखी जाने वाली तीन वैबसाइट्स में से एक है।
यूट्यूब चैनल अपने सदस्यों को उनके वीडियो चैनल पर विज्ञापन दिखाने की भी सुविधा देता है जिससे वी-ब्लॉगर्स को अच्छी-खासी आमदनी होती है। इसका अनुमान इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि वर्ष 2013 में एक वी-लॉगर ने 7,20,000 यूएस डॉलर अर्थात् भारतीय मुद्रा में कहें तो लगभग 5 करोड़ रुपए कमाए। तब से अब तक इस रिकॉर्ड को कई बार तोड़ा जा चुका है तथा दुनिया भर में लोग लाखों डॉलर प्रतिवर्ष की कमाई कर रहे हैं।
इन तथ्यों के आधार पर जाए कि ब्लॉगिंग का इतिहास दर्शाता है करोड़ों की कमाई तो इसमें कोई अतिश्याक्ति नहीं होगी!
